Aruba!

I went to Aruba for spring Break, and I know this is late but here are a lot of pictures from my vacation.

The day we arrived this umbrella was on the beach with people sitting under it. The next day the tide had eroded the part of beach this umbrella was sitting on and the thing fell into the ocean. it was tied to a tree so it would not go anywhere.

This was my lizard friend who I stalked to get this picture

Downtown Aruba
The jeep we rode in for the Jeep Safari tour. I was convinced I was going to die because our driver really enjoyed the "look no hands" approach.
This was actually a cave and this was all natural light. I do not know what made the light this color but i thought it was really pretty and interesting.

Guess what animal this is.

Sunset sail
This was a sad day, I was flying back home to Cincinnati where it was snowing.

Window Light

I am finally back into a shooting class! Yay!!! I am in a class called Introduction to Photographic Illustration. Basically an all around commercial photography class where we get to use lights and fun little tricks to make things look good. Our first assignment was a bit of a warm up because we have been out of a shooting class for three quarters. Our first assignment was Window Light Still Life. we had to photograph an object only using natural light. I went antiquing with some friends and found an old tin toy I thought would be fun for this assignment. Here are some of the photos I took and edited. Tell me what you think!

This first picture is the picture I used for the class, the other two I just really liked so I thought I would put them up.

Hope you enjoyed my photos. Please leave comments, or suggestions of photos you want to see posted as well as ideas for photos I can take. Thank You.

"Black Balloon"

These photos are for SPI also know as the Society for Photographic Illustrators. We are having a show at the end of the quarter and the theme is Song Illustration. We pick a song and put it into photographs anyway we interpret it. I picked "Black Balloon" by the Goo Goo Dolls!

Skin Care

The new issue of Thread is coming out in the next day or so, so I think it is now appropriate that I put up some pictures from my shoot. I shot the first cosmetics page that the magazine ever did and the topic was skin care. I will give an update when the issue comes out, about what pictures were used and what page the article is on. Right now I am working on the next issue and I and shooting the women of the Boxcar Burlesque group.

During fall quarter I had to take a photoshop class. Here are some of my projects. The eyes were my final project which was free topic. Feel free to tell me what you think!

I never turned this in, it was more of an experiment.
