Mixed Chorus Trip to Washington DC 2009

This is the sky in February. I really liked the texture and the colors.

It was Lincoln's birthday when we were there. We actually saw the Emancipation Proclamation! 

We walked around this monument an there is a hand which does not belong to any of the soldiers. It is thought to be the hand of God.

I loved the quality of light shining between the soldiers and the shadows cast on the ground. I really like this photo.

There are some really funny ones.

This is photographer humor. I will explain. When cameras were first invented one exposure could take up to an hour. It could take hours to take one picture. People had to sit very still for portraits.

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day I had the opportunity to travel around to different cemeteries with American Legion Post 318 and photograph their memorial services. Here are some of the pictures I took.

I thought this was fantastic. This guy stopped and got out of his car to salute and remember the fallen soldiers.

Yes you are reading this right, it says Civil War Veteran.
